Predictions…

I just voted.  Here’s my predictions.

Romney win: The economy will continue to improve slowly. The administration’s insistence on increased government spending and decreased tax revenue will continue to grow the deficit and debt. Income inequality will continue to grow. A Bush-sided disaster will be made in the middle east. Continued poor regulation of the financial sector will lead to another crisis and the widespread misery will result in a populist uprising. The country will decide between an FDR-style leader and The New-New Deal (or, the “New Dealio”) or a Mussolini-style leader and a Christian Theocracy.

Obama win: The economy will continue to improve slowly. Income inequality will continue to grow. Continued gridlock in Congress will result in very little change over the next four years. Some groups of poor rural whites will retreat to the hills with their guns hoping to hold off the expected UN troops and take pot-shots at brown-skinned people. There will be wild talk of seccession but nothing will come of it. The continuing changing demographics of the country will make some individuals withdraw from society and lash out in violent ways. Continued poor regulation of the financial markets will lead to another crisis, but it will take an additional ten years.
